Photography yellow flowers? They always come out unsharp. |

I think getting the colors of red flowers correct is more difficult.

Hmmm an interesting question. But I really doubt if the color itself causes the unsharpness. It may be a shallow DOF cuz yoou are in really tight, a slow shutter speed with some movement, or some other coincidental reason.

I would agree. I'm thinking more along the lines that the yellow flowers probably don't have enough contrast for the camera to get a good focus lock. |

Just a thought/guess.. is it because of how light reflects off yellow? Making it bright, therefore hard to focus on? |

My camera has a hard time with red as well.

This is really strange - I actually photographed two different types of yellow flowers earlier today and was surprised to see how badly they came out as well. Funny enough, I have a yellow flower in my portfolio that came out quite well. I have to agree that I think the lighting may have something to do with it - the brightness is such that my camera doesn't lock focus very well on it.
