I'm looking to invest in some macro equipment looking to buy the 100mm 2.8, but I can't figure out some of these macro flashes as I have little experience with flash. I'm looking at the moment at the Canon MR-14EXand the MR-24EX and was wondering what the big difference between them are and if they are suppose to be used on specific subjects? Also wondering about third party ring flashes like the Sigma EM-140 DG

what would you reccommend?

I got the Canon MR-14EX for Christmas, my partner surprised me with it. I haven't had much time to experiment with it yet but it seems like a great flash.
