All of the entries have shadows. You people have to be kidding. There are no "white cows in a snowstorm" images. Only if an obscure and idiosyncratic definition is applied to "shadow" can one say there are no "shadows". It is this kind of bogus narrowing definition of a challenge about which I strongly object. (btw, my image has a strong shadow, so I'm not talking about my image. All the images have shadows. I'll ask the jokers who are asserting otherwise to point the alleged "no shadow" images after the challenge.) I found the voting on this challenge to be highly unusual. Is this challenge part of some outside side challenge.... about which we are unaware?

Hahn, I respect your opinion, but aren't we allowed to have our views and cast our votes without being referred to as 'jokers'? I voted fairly.

I am presuming that this challenges votes is down to individual perception, and in particular; the individual perceptions of varying degrees of shadows.

I have no problem with you or your comment, as long as you don't apply a more narrow definition to "shadows" than is mentioned in the challenge description. You know, a shadow does not have to be a silhouette on a wall with all blacks.

I know that :)

I'll be honest with you... I feel that I have a very broad outlook and am very generous with my perceptions and definitions on challenge entries.

If I feel comfortable enough and don't feel like I'll get ripped to shreds for it, I might post the thumbs post-challenge, which I felt displayed very little or no shadow.

And like I said earlier in the thread, I didn't 'troll' vote these entries either.

Goodnight :)

Rainbow, I wouldn't post any thumbs after the challenge just to please this guy because I don't think that's fair to the people who shot them. I wouldn't want one of my photos pointed out, especially if the person who shot it is new to the site. If you want to continue your debate with him, which by the way is pointless, because we're all jokesters, then do it via Private Message. Lastly, don't worry about being ridiculed for your opinion, you are entitled to it. I for one, think there are three photos which do not have shadow. I can't elaborate on that without giving away which photos I'm talking about, but that doesn't mean I voted them low either. Just for the record I gave an average score of 5.0160

My average score was 5.5680 in this challenge. I don't know if that is good or bad.

I can see your point Ashley, and I agree... I don't want to make anyone feel bad by pointing out their photo.

And I certainly don't want to carry on with this debate. All I wanted to do was comment.... it kinda deters me from doing so in future.

Thanks :)
