2004 was a GREAT year for movies including probably my favorite movie of all time...
Edukators, The (Fetten Jahre sind vorbei, Die)
Regretfully two days before Christmas of 2004 my house was broken into and my computer and back-up drive was stolen so I lost all my spreadsheets prior to then (I now do an off site backups). Looking at my DVD collection, my other top 9 (can't do just 5) are below although some fun movies that is not necessarily "great cinema" like Saved!, Garden State and Door in the Floor are some of my most watched movies from 2004.

I'm not usually very influenced by what I see, but I haven't eaten a bite of fast food since seeing SSM (and reading Michael Pollen who I heard about in the special features), and about 6 months later became a vegetarian, so I guess you can say SSM was important in my life.
