Here's a thought...
As the voting is progressing, I would like know about where I am placing. Would it be possible to place Average or Median votes for all pictures? Or maybe scores at the 25 percentile, 50 percentile, 75 percent grouping? This would tell me if the ALL the scores are low or high, or if I am just plain sucking. Plus I would have a better idea of how the trends go, when to worry, etc.
Do you see what I am after here? Is it possible? Do you think others would appreciate it as well?

I can't decide if this would make me more or less crazy. On one hand, I would have an answer for all of my friends who ask me every day, "How is your photo doing today on that photo site you visit?" (Yes, it's not bad enough that I am addicted, my so-called "friends" have to fuel my addiction by their compulsion to ask me every day.) On the other hand, it would take away the surprise on Sunday. (Given that the last surprise for me was, "Where is my photo? What is it doing way down there?" that may not be a bad thing.)
If they're going to do it they might as well be direct. Instead of an average or percentiles, just say, "Your photo is currently ranked X out of Y submissions."

ok, that additional info would make me loose my job for sure because than i'd have to check my score even more frequently than i am already - so, please, have mercy on me! ;) i also agree with amphian that that would take away some of the final surprise or anticipation.
i'd be interested though in what my voting distribution looks like during the week (you know, that bar chart that tells you how many 1s, 2s, etc, you get). i know that has been mentioned a few times previously. also understand that that's not a high priority item since we get that info at the end of the week anyway.
in any case, i know i'm way too hooked, so whatever information we get during the week, i'll be checking the score WAYYYY to often.

Maybe we need a support group:
"Hi, my name is Amphian, and I am a DPChallengeaholic. I now have 37 minutes and 14 seconds of DPChallenge-free living. I'd like to thank my sponsors, Swashbuckler and gr8photos, for their support and... and..." (Sound of running footsteps and rapid typing.) "Whaddya mean my score dropped another .1?"
