Hi!
I did a shoot for a competition a local department store is running yesterday, and I'd like to get a little C&C before I submit anything (or reshoot... depending on what sort of feedback I get). The idea of the competition was to shoot a person in front of the Christmas lights that decorate the store. So, here are the two frames I'm considering for the moment.

Cheers in advance, it's bedtime here! |

Since the contest is to shoot a person in front of the store christmas lights, perhaps the lights need to be just a bit more apparent. While I like shot number 2, it is not apparent that the lights are Christmas lights, versus some other lights. Also, the store is going to want to get free advertising out of this most likely, so I would include all of the store name in the photo. |

I've decided not to sleep... hehe.
It seems Number 2 is the go, and I've added a little "fill" to the face as suggested. Cheers.
@ShutterPug: Thanks, perhaps I should have made the details a little clearer. The name of the department store is "Shinsegae" (which you can see in the upper left). The idea of "Christmas Lights" here in Korea is not quite what we expect in 'the West', that is to say, this store is covered in a few million 'fairy lights' to look pretty, that's about all. They had a great street of star shaped lights, but before I got there, they'd switched them off... hoping to get there tomorrow night... now I have to get a model :P.

Definitely #2 because we're seeing the entire face. I agree that the lights should be more apparent, maybe closer to the model. Your model is great, but maybe a small child would be better if it's a Christmas theme. IMHO I'd like to see the model looking at the camera with a little smile on her face. |

I like #1. I like the more candid look. |
