I have recently registered in this site as I thought of improving my photography.I am thoroughly enjoying the forum posts ..
I might be asking the dumbest question ever (but unless I ask I am not going to learn), could you guys please help me with some tutorials/materials on photoshop(I have got CS2). I want some basics to get started.

I have one of my own. A first for me!
Go here to learn how to do double exposure in Photoshop.
