I was experimenting on some photos I took this morning, using Photoshop and NeatImage to get different effects, and I'm wondering if anyone would care to comment on the results? I don't expect many of you to like these, because I didn't even try to maintain 'photographic integrity' and wanted a very graphic look.
Any comments will be appreciated. Even one word comments such as, "Yuck!" or "Horrible!"

Hey,
nice shots but they dont look realy, especially the maple leaf one. I think neatimage (never used it before) is kinda hard bc too much can ruin a shot & just the right touch can really enhance one. I hear that it is really hard to get it just right. Keep at it! I would like to see the originals!

I really like the second one, the first is alright too. I think the first one would look better without the quasi-cartoonish feel to it. |

Interesting effects, the neat image seems to have wiped out any hint of texture on the leaves.

I agree ... photographic integrity for DPChallenge entries ... no. But ... I really like the effect on the second photo. The first one doesn't thrill me too much, though.
Good thing the challenges aren't the only thing to take photos for, we'd all be much more conservative, and sometimes these non-photo creations work really well! Like it!

Fantastic backgrounds, especially the second one. I'd love to see them again with your effects applied only to the background so the leaves look 'normal'. |
