I started using my detached garage back in mid-july as a camera room/studio and friday got to start moving in. The sales room isn't done yet, but I did shoot my first client in the new space saturday afternoon and have two more coming later this week.

Gotta have a before shot, right?

It was still mostly garage at this point

Exterior still needs some work but winter hit us fast and hard - 2 inches of snow last night it might not hit 23 degrees today.

Inside I have 4 areas to shoot 'into', or I can use the windows as background too.
When you enter you are greeted with this view

Turn to your left and you get the main studio space. The left wall will be a number of muslins on tracks.

If you walk into the main studio and turn around I can shoot back against the garage door (which will be replaced next spring with different doors so I can lose the tracks)

Looking back toward the entrance door. The muslin track will also run along here and the big windows are on the left, or the door can be opened (in moderate weather of course)

Very jealous. :)

We just got back from Wal-Mart. We are setting up my wife's maternity pics...and are just thumbtacking the material we bought from Wally World to the wall. Using a few work lights also bought from the hardware department at my favoritre retail chain.

can't wait till i have a set up like yours.

It's been 4+ years in teh making and costly, but spread over time it's not too bad. I'd still like about twice the space and higher ceilings but this will do for now and the next 2 to 3 years (that's the plan anyway).

I LOVE having a window!

OK, that image doesn't really show what window light can do, I know.
