This is another edit in PS, but no spot editing, since I'm really no good at that, and nothing seemed to need in for this pic.
I adjusted levels, brightness+contrast, hue+saturation, desaturated, and ran 'film grain', not neccesarily in that order.

I kind of like the colors and contrast, any suggestions? |

I'd like to see the original. A little overdone for my taste.

I agree. I think a portrait crop might work better here also.

Ditto!
Maybe try saturating the reds and yellows to bring out the complementary colors... that's pretty much all I could think of other than Great Shot! |

Personally, I like the original better. Here's some comments explaining why, and maybe you will get some ideas for what you finally want to do with this.
The new one has very high contrast, losing most of the detail in the foreground clouds, and producing a bright area that steals attention from the main "subject" the rays. In addition, you've lost the nice tonal range in the area where the clouds open for the sun. The new one also introduces quite a bit of noise and jpeg artifacts.
Perhaps, if you are interested in trying this in sepia, you can try it without upping the contrast or reducing the tonal range. |

Definitely the original. The color really brings the shot to life!

Thanks for all the comments. I'll try sepia without changing the contrast later today when I have time. |
