Im trying to print a photo and there is a red tint all over the print out.
in photoshop the image looks fine and i also put in a new ink cartridge.
I know this can be any number of things, but if there is a obvious thing i have to check can someone tell me?
thanks

probably doesn't help but I had a similar issue, I had a green tint over everything ... happened on about 7 prints and I gave up. A week later I tried exactly the same picture, no editing or changing the settings and it printed perfect! My suggestion then is a total shutdown and reboot ...

I first check my ink levels. Make sure the paper profile chosen for the print sequence matches the paper used. Make sure your monitor's color workspace matches the printers color workspace (Adobe RGB to Adobe RGB or sRGB to sRGB).

What paper is selected? Is the printer profile for that paper selected?
Is ICM turned off in the printer driver? Is PS set to manage the colours?
A red tint all over usually means double profiling. Once in PS and once in the printer driver.
A green tint usually means no profiling. Set to managed by printer in PS and ICM off in printer driver. |

I had this problem long ago but I can't remember exactly what it was. cpanaioti is on the right line to fix it though.

Yesterday, I suddenly had an image print with green tint, which I had printed dozens of time with no problem. After trying "everything" to fix this, it turned out the PM (PhotoMagenta) cartridge was not working, even though it had been very recently replaced. That is a very rare event, but installing a new PM cartridge was the solution.
