I need to tell my wife asap what kind of boom arm I want and what kind of portrait lens I want!!
I have a 18-70mm, 50mm 1.8, nd a 85mm 1.8!! Whats should be next in the price range under 500 dollars!!!

Hi, no offense, but why do you need another portrait lens? The 85 and 50 should be more than adequate for any portraiture you need to do. Wouldn't it be better to spend $500 on more lighting and/or a different type of lens (ultra wide angle or telephoto)?

Ha! That's what I get for perusing DPC while trying to finish a final engineering project. My bad!

I would say the 50/85 are good enough for portraiture, looking at your line up I would say you should grab the 18-200 VR that is for sale right here on DPC, you would get it shipped for $500 and it would be a great asset to your arsenal.

Thanks man!! I had my eye on a 18-200mm vr, I just thought since I had the 18-70, do I really need it...That will be my next lens!! Thanks you guys!! If I knew ya, I would buy you beer!!
