Anything interesting to shoot between Syracuse and Rochester? I'll be traveling between them on Saturday, and I'm wondering if there might be some quick but nice diversions to shoot? Hopefully, not too far off the beaten path (the beaten path being the NYS Thruway unfortunately.)
Thanks in advance.
ETA: Or just any great locations to shoot in Rochester, my destination?

If you're into birds and swamps, I'd recommend the Montezuma National Wildlife Refuge -- the time of year might be good for migratory birds. It's just a little ways off of Exit 41 on the Thruway (the highway actually forms the northern perimiter of the park).
There's also Sodus Point on Lake Ontario. I've never been put it's supposed to be nice -- I think there's a lighthouse there.
ETA: You know, if you have a hankerin' for some good waterfalls, you'll be awfully close to Ithaca!

Thanks Gary. The refuge sounds nice. And indeed, right on the way.
We also plan to visit the George Eastman House--I didn't get a chance to visit there when I was in Rochester on the erie canal bike ride. Is that worth the visit?
I also found "Corbetts Glenn", which looks nice in some photos on the web. It's right on the city outskirts, only 8 miles from the Eastman house. That one falls looks nice anyway.

This waterfall a bit out of the way, but I've seen it in previous challenges, and I think it looks very interesting. I would love to visit it someday.
