i'm pretty sure this sigma flash will work fine on the original canon 300d, but i figured i throw it out for verification before i place the order.

i'm ordering it for my mother who's giving it to my brother for christmas. he's got my old old 300d. i figured someone here has probably used the combination.

I used a Sigma 500 with a 300D and it worked fine. The one you link to is Canon mount and includes ETTL. I see no reason for it not to work.

me either - just checking

it's the e-ttl II part that made me question.
