Do not leave them in your jeans and then wash your jeans in washer.
Good thing I had all those images backed up. Now I am leaving them to dry. Lets see if they pass the washing machine test. :D

ive washed a few of my 1gb cf cards a few times, and dried them and theyve been fine. yours should be fine as well

The only exposed parts of a CF card are the contacts. Everything else is sealed in plastic. They should be fine.

As others said, you should be fine.... as long as you didn't use Downey or Snuggle in the wash or your images will come out soft. :-) -sorry, couldn't resist.

Just give it a couple days in a warm, dry environment to fully dry out and they should work.

I know sd card are not cf cards but I have put a few sd cards through the washer and drier and they came out working fine

Did the same thing with an 8GB card and it works fine...

I remember in the days of my first mobile phone, my Nokia 3310 went through the wash at least 3 times!

At least he didn't put them in the dryer and shrink them all.

HA! LOL at the resposes!!! let the cards dry out & then clean the contact points with alcohol on a Q-tip...

Umm....he DID say CF cards......that'd have to be a REALLY small Q-tip! LOL!!!
