My turkey. All 16 lbs of it. Cooked slowly, lovingly watched, and coordinated with my drinking Jack and Cokes.

I DO hope (fervently) that you're not mixing the Jack with that toxic diet Coke crap...

At least use Coke Zero, it's a heck of a lot more palatable and natural-tasting...

Geesh, don't SAY that; Brother Horse has been known to get violent when someone disparages good Kentucky bourbon to his face... And I'm on his side in the matter; I'd much rather drink bourbon than the "other" whiskeys, though I'd prefer Knob Creek and, in any case, my liquor-drinking days are pretty much ended post-heart attack :-(

My brother-in-law is a fanatic high-end single-malt Scotch connoisseur, so I've sampled most of great ones, and while I acknowledge that these are very fine tipples, I still prefer bourbon. And, for that matter, premium tequilas; some of the best are, IMO, the equal in craftsmanship to any Scotch ever made.

Not that this has anything to do with turkeys...

uh oh, I'm in trouble I think. Sorry MCH. I'm not a drinker so my inexperience got the better of me. I only mentioned them because they were the ones my family used to buy during the holidays. I haven't touched the stuff in over ten years.

Now back to that turkey. UPS has this doggie bag delivery service that you could use to send me a leg and half a breast of that bird. I'm still drooling here. ;]

no worries.

I am just happy that I didn't burn the turkey while drinking. Once the whiskey was done, we opened up some bottles of wine.

Man...talk about a holiday coma.

There's something in the last pic you posted that kinda made me think you were going to wake up in that state. lol

My 'who gives a crap' day is Dec 13th, I turn over another year and I will eat a 16oz steak to celebrate. Medium rare, I can smell it already. Haven't had one in 10 years! I cannot believe it when I say it. lol

Make sure to open a bottle of some good wine. A Sinsault, Sira or a good Cab would be my choice.

Good going on ya.
