I love the diagonals used in this image. The colouring is awesome...(especially my daughters pink pillowslip...lol). The vignetting, while not encouraged in this type of photography, I feel enchances the mood in this image.

I think the diagonals in this image make it very strong and give it a good amount of depth, the contrasting background color along with the soft tone overall gives a a very subdued feeling to it. I love the control over the DOF and the textures amongst the diagonals. I am not quite sure how I feel about the vingetting, I thought it was neat as it made me feel as though I was looking through a microscope, but it my eye as it follows through on the diagonals is led into the black and leaves me wondering what else is out there. |

I like the concept of the seeds being some kind of sea creature. For me though, the images isjust ok.
The vignette pushes me to the center of the image where Im lead to the seeds. Upon inspecting the soft feather like hairs my eyes only choice is to move off attempting to distinguish the blurred items in the background. I think with that being said, I would like to have had the seeds show a bit stronger of a presence so I would be more drawn to them. |
