When I was in school, I collected lights (blacklights, lava lamps, strobes, etc.), but now that I'm a little older and living in an apartment and such, I feel like I've grown out of the silly things. There are only two things that I kept: 1 blacklight and a purple/pink lava lamp. The problem is, I have no idea what to do with them. I'm not seeing what circumstance would come up that I would use them. But I don't want to get rid of them.

Now the lava lamp, that's not so bad. Put it on a shelf, plug it in, looks awesome. :P My problem is the black light. I don't know what to do with it. I would really like to make some type of art piece / display with it. Anyone have any ideas?

Here's what the light basically looks like, except the casing is black, not green like the one in this picture.

I'm not sure if this is true or not, but I've been told that these types of lights are great for attracting mosquitoes and other insects that may be under the influence of drugs. So if you don't want any of them flying randomly around your house I'd hang on to it and plug it in. Good luck. :)

the only thing i can think of that ive done with a few black light is to maybe put it on the back of a shelf or maybe even in like a cabnet(with no doors) to like back light whatever you have on the shelf or so, do you have like a bar or miny bar you could do the shelf idea with maybe like a few bottles or glasses in front of it?
