Has anyone used 1stopcamera.com before? They have a d300 package that is a good price but I don't want to be taken.

Right; they tell us the store has several aliases: 1 Stop Camera / 1stopcamera / onestopcamera (also: InoaX, FotoConnection, TheNewConnection) .
FotoConnection has 658 reviews at 6.58 aggregate, not very good. 1stopcamera has 25 reviews for an aggregate perfect 10. But if you look further, that's a 6-month aggregate, and the lifetime aggregate is a dismal 4.62...
No reviews at all from November 06 thru October 15, 08; then 10 reviews on October 15-17 08, all of them perfect 10's, which smacks to me of someone connected with the business "packing the ballot box" to create an artificial review number. Reading the comments from 06 sees many customers actually calling them "crooks", LOL...

Well, that answers my concern, if its TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE, well it probably is. I think I will stick with B&H or onecall.com.

I don't know if this is the same group of scammers but check the whois on 1stopcamera.com. They are hiding their real company name behind their registrar...that's suspicious all in itself! |
