Arrgh, my lenses are EFS, which the 5D does not support. Correct? Sigh...

Would you consider a 30D with a lens?

Sorry guys this deal is done I think. I had mentioned it a couple weeks ago to a member in the local camera club and he seemed interested. I never heard anymore from him about it so I figured he changed his mind. I had a feeling as soon as I posted it elsewhere he would call and sure enough he did. Anyway, sorry again. If for some stupid reason he changes his mind, Prof_Fate will be next in line for it as Mike Adams declined.

All I can say is he got a great deal!

You could have bet the farm that as soon as you posted the offer, you'd hear back from your local guy... kind of like not throwing something away for 20 years because you "might need it someday" only to finally toss it and then needing it soon after.

Now back to my old conundrum... 5D/II or 50D??? I'm thinking 50D for now and then the latest and greatest fullframe in a couple of years. Seems like I've been down this path once already :)

Canon 40D - $862.95
Canon 50D - $1198.95
Canon 5DII - $2699.95

1) What do you gain by upgrading from the Canon 20D?
2) What handful of features do you REALLY want that the 20D doesn't provide?
3) Is the 5DII worth spending 3 times as much as the 40D?

Food for thought. :-P

Its the logical way, but if anyone thinks like me if you are going to spend a lot of money i want the best and always end up spending more ;p

You forgot the added expense of RAM for the computer, and HD space for the huge files. Sometimes looking at the whole picture rather then the drool factor of new toys is hard to do.
