Unless you don't mind buying from crooked companies.
Price fixing
Funny how these companies rip off consumers by fixing the price of LCD screens, get caught doing it, are convicted and found guilty and made to pay millions in fines but not one single mention of a consumer getting his money back.
I don't buy these products but will definitely put them on a list to remind me of their price fixing and subsequent theft of our hard earned cash. |

This price-fixing is at the WHOLESALE level, for COMPONENTS. Also included in the suit is Chungwha Inc, another manufacturer of these LCD displays. Most "manufacturers" do not make their own tubes or display units, purchasing them instead from one of these 3 companies or, I believe, Sony, who apparently were not part of the conspiracy. Named in the article as examples of manufacturers who have suffered because of the price fixing are Motorola, Dell, and Apple...
