| Hi. I am in the outer banks and bought the bigma and the 1.4x tc by sigma before I left for vacation. I used the bigma before I left, but I had never mounted the tc on it until now, and it doesn't seem to fit?? Am I missing something? I've never used TC's before... The bigma is an APO DG HSM lens the the Sigma TC is a 1.4x APO EX DG. I'm heading out to bird a bit now, but would be most appreciative of the community if someone would help me so I can use this later tonight or tomorrow. Thanks!! |

bump
just came back from shooting... I can not for the life of me figure out how to put this tc on my lens. it fits on my camera but not the lens. do you have to buy a special one for the Bigma?
Also nothing the Bigma is very soft at 500mm, shame. First day of birding and got about 10 keepers out of 2-300. |

The Bigma works with the 1.4x tc, but you can only zoom at 100 to 500, not under 100. The lock switch works both ways. You can either lock it at 50mm or you can lock it over 100mm. I always mount the tc to the lens first, then the camera to it, but you have to have the lens zoomed out to at least 100mm first.

Thank you very much  davidw. I knew it was something simple I was not doing correctly. I unlocked the lens, open it a bit and the tc fit right on. Thanks again!! :) |
