Hey all,
I've been meaning to ask this for many months but it kept slipping my mind. I was wondering if anyone knew or could find out, or knew how to test, what the ideal resolution of the Kodak Photo Centers were/are.
I think they print a 4x6 however I am unsure as to how many dots per inch their printers, which I believe are HP printers, print at.
I have often wondered when resizing images for the express purpose of printing, what size to make them. Too large and 100 images takes an hour to load off the card, too small and the result will be blurry.
The question isn't strictly photography related as I also have had the desire to use such a photo center for printing out some simple cheap cards for example or photo props for other photos. An image can be created in photoshop but again, if the image is too large or too small it will get resized and result in a blurry image.
I have thought I could make a grid in photoshop at several different resolutions from 640x480 to 12mp size and see which is the most clear, that would work if it prints at a standard resolution however it may not.
So, thank you for any advice or insight into this matter :)
Peace
PS- I really do need to get myself a good photo printer for the latter half of my question I know, nothing beats printing at home for fine control. Just a little expensive for a large number of shots. :) |
