Does anyone have a sample form they use to give estimates/proposals.
Im looking for something that incorporates a shooting fee plus usage/licensing.

I just type up a letter.
gets me into 'trouble' at times as I forget things or it's not completely understood by the other side what I mean.

Thats alright.
One of my classes this semester is "BUSINESS OF PHOTOGRAPHY"
And after canceling the first class (contracted to work at the World Series) the teacher sent us an email telling us to read chapter 5 of Harringtons "Best Business Practices for Photogs" and draft a proposal for:
A 8x10 300dpi photo of a new company CEO to be used with his bio in the company newsletter, website, trade magazines, and marketing materials.
Chapter 5 doesn't cover any of this. |

Around here that is a 'business headshot'. I've not done it but one guy here has the contract for my wife's employer.
He did 5 studio setting headshots, web proof for a week, and delivered one file for their use (in anything as far as I know). I don't know the exact pricing but it was in the $150-225 range for the whole deal.

| So i'm assuming at that price, he just gave them the rights to the photo. I think this guy wants us to license it, and come up with usage fees, but he doesn't provide any of the pertinent information such as - run time, what publications, viewing audience, etc |
