I thought it was funny and I love your accent....you sound like someone on tv! LOL (that makes me sound like a hick, doesn't it?)

My accent is actually from the 9th Ward in New Orleans. I was born there and learned to talk there ! I moved about 15 miles away as a youngster and grew up in the suburbs...however, the accent stuck.
Many say it sounds like a "Brooklyn" accent. I've always heard that lots of people from Brooklyn...(is that how you spell it?)...settled in the 9th Ward years ago.
If you had to guess and didn't know...where would you have said I was from ?
The 9th Ward is pretty much gone now. You can see some pics I took at //www.kenskid.smugmug.com. These are after the hurricane.

Oh I would definitely say somewhere in NYC....you sound like the guys on the "King of Queens" show.

Well then I was right about the Brooklyn remark ! You should hear some of the other people around here....they have a deeper accent....
Example:
for "Oil" they say "Earl" "Toilet" is "Turlet"

For the record, I was deeply offended by your misleading thread title. I expect every minute of my time on the Internet to be spent viewing quality material of direct and relevant value to me.
