I've been using LR for several months, quite happily. Before that I used Photoshop's Bridge combined with ACR and Photoshop.

Recently, I imported nearly 4000 photographs. In order to import more quickly, I set import options to import with minimal previews, assuming I could set LR to render 1:1 previews at a later date (whilst I went off and did something else).

Actually, just to provide detail, the 4000 photos were divided into folder of 500 images each and this is also how I imported them.

I'm using LR 1.3.1 (though we recently purchased 2 I won't be upgrading till I've dealt with this set of photos, I just find that easier).

So, when I select all 500 images in a folder and go to Library > Previews > Render 1:1 Previews the command is completely disabled. (So too is Render Standard Previews).

Can anyone think why that might be?

(It's a fully licensed, legal copy of the software and I've not had any other problems at all so I'm assuming I'm simply doing something wrong, I have an option set incorrectly in preferences, or SOMETHING)

THANK YOU!

I'm just upgrading to 1.4.1 to see whether that will fix the problem.
It could be a 1.3.1 bug.
Sigh.

Bah, that upgrade fixed it.

Nice, a released version of the software, not a beta, a paid for version, has an entire command completely disabled, in one of the upgrades!

Ah well!
