Blame it on global warming. It was 13C here today.

You're in Ottawa? Thankfully Newfoundland isn't that cold. It's 12ºC here today, foggy and drizzly.

I'm in the Southern Appalachian mountains (Western NC) and we had almost two inches when we got up this morning.

It hasn't snowed this early in the year in something like 30 years (that I remember -- but I could be wrong).

'tis OK, though, we need the moisture desperately.

Isn't it always winter in Canada?

It's just passing us to the west. Good! Not ready for the white stuff yet. Oct is too soon for snow.

40mm of rain expected though. :( That's 4 feet to you Americans. ;]

Are you kidding? Have you ever been in Montreal in summer? It was hotter than NYC.

I just got back from Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. I wish I could've brought back some of the nice weather from there. It was in th low 70's F. There was a tableful of people from Montreal, Canada there at the Greg Norman restaurant. Ducks are smart, they fly south for the Winter and they share the energy expense on the flight down.

Yes, it actually was a joke. Its just like when people come to Colorado in July and expect to see snow capped peaks, or when people get off a cruise ship in Alaska and ask people on the dock how far above sea level they are.

There you all go again, upsetting those of us who rarely get a good snowfall...

In the UK at the moment, it is grey, wet, and miserable. Much like it has been through the spring and summer!
It has gotten colder over the last few days though and they are forecasting some snow on higher ground. This will likely be less than a CM, though and will melt within an hour...

*sigh*

It's a cruel joke. I'll put my winter tires on tonight and it won't snow for another 4 weeks! Happens every year...

right? =)

Thinking of you Juliet as I look out the window at the pouring rain and our cool 7°C. I got the heat on and a cup of hot coffee keeping me bones from getting chilly. I'm loving it though, it's why I like it here. :)

I would check your local weather Bujanx, it looks like you'll need the tires tomorrow, if you're indeed in Ottawa.

Wow, you almost had snow on the Wooley Worms. Wonder what that means?

All things considered, I'd rather be skiing

Possible Schneefall here on Donnerstag. Most likely just Regen, though. At least I hope so. I don't want to have to drive to work on Frietag in Schnee, let alone Neblig. Which I think from the nifty picture on the weather.com page means fog.

Ralph, you made my day. You know how we west-coasters love to gloat when the rest of the country is freezing their little tushies off! :D

I just purchased brand spankin' new snow tires today. I'm ready for four feet of snow tomorrow (we're only getting snow showers though).

So Ralph are you dug out yet?

Just read that England got blasted with snow for the first time in 74 years in October. And my parents wander why I do not want to go and live there with them.
