I've played piano for 9 years, and been singing for a while. I took trumpet for one year, but that didn't really stick. |

Wow Trish, that's an impressive bio! My wife is a cellist also and if I could start life over again I would give up my violin to be a cellist. It's simply the most beautiful sounding instrument ever put together by human hands (just my humble opinion of course). |
i completely agree! wonderful site, Trish! the cello is my favorite instrument, by far. i so wish i could play. |
I love the cello as well. When I am finished with my school the first thing I am going to take up is the cello. |

I used to be in a group of sorts (rhythm guitar and vocals) but the other folks all moved out of the area and I've never really gotten together with anyone else, and I don't like performing alone. Lately, though, my son Isaac has been learning to improvise leads/fills along with some of the stuff I can play -- he's had lessons in recorder and flute, and is in his second year playing clarinet -- so I've been playing a bit more lately.
PS: I love the cello too. |

I played cornet from 5th through 11th grades and again started playing trumpet in our church orchestra about 10 years ago for a few years. Since then I've been singing in the church choir including some solo dramatic acting/singing parts in Christmas and Easter musicals. Also I played guitar for a few years in college. I think photographers, being artists, like to dabble in other arts also. |

I play guitar, double-bass and trombone. I occasionaly play piano and percussions. Since recently I'm blowing into didgeridoo!
But I'm more of a music producer these days... |

I've been playing guitar for almost 40 years and I still can't play worth a damn. Thank goodness I don't have to make a living at it. :D

We all need to do a hippy jam session to a full moon in a desert canyon somewhere.
Or something like that... :)
Cello, rhythm and lead guitars, lots and lots of drums, a couple of pianos, a mandolin, bass, trombone, clarinet, and an opera singer... WOW |

Does Smoke on the Water count? No wait everyone can play that... How 'bout Stairway to Heaven?
Seriously I've played prolly a little more than half of almost as long as Mick and feel the same about my skillz. I did bands in Highschool (did anyone cover KISS before they became popular...that went over big) and a couple club bands while in the Suck (Marines) but now play to piss the neighbors off.
Anything with a distortion pedal (I use a Boss GT-3 effects board now) works for me. I can throw down in the style of Leppard, Scorps, AC/DC some of the harder Tesla. Been playing around in the Drop D world for the likes of Linkin Park, Staind and others to kind of get with the program. I'm a mess when it come to styles as I grew up listening to Ritchie Blackmoore, Jimmy Page, Tommy Iommi, Randy Rhodes, Zack Wilde, Angus Young, Pat Travers (Pat Thrall), Ronnie Montrose, Robin Trower et el...heavy but all over the place.
I do have this rythym track (I layed down and lost it) that I call Get off the Phone and Drive no weird tunings but somewhere between RATT and Queensryche for a rythym; I should lay it back down and pass along to you drummers and bassists and see what we can come up with.

I saw Greatful Dead 7 times. ZZ Top twice. Rush twice. Pink Floyd 3 time. Boston once. Elton John/Billy Joel once. Jethro Tull at King's Island, that was very fun... and several others. But my favoritest time EVER was in the parking lot jams. I'm still talking music, by the way.
eta: Jethro Tull rocks!!!!!!!!!

Remember that 18 year old kid that sang for him...what was his name again? Uh...Sammy Hagar, I beleive.
Edit: Cool shot of Ronnie! Dudette, you got some way cool stuff over there...Iron Maiden, Alice Cooper (I seen him with the Scorpions), Styx (I just had front row at the 08 Renegade tour)...nice stuff.

I was supposed to be writing a couple papers today, but I decided to get C's and make a song on my laptop. I posted it on this new myspace page. //myspace.com/thoughtphotography I got some demo software and messed around a little and found I was having too much fun to quit. |
