I need suggestions...
Next week I'm doing a family shoot. Mom and Dad, their two teenagers (boys, 14 and 16), mom's four grown children from her previous marriage (four boys and a girl), one daughter in law and 4 small grandchildren (all 5 or younger.)
Here's the challenging part... Mom's ex-husband and the father of the oldest 4 kids will also be a part of the family portraits.
The particulars:
Will be indoor the family home - too dark outside
VERY casual family. The whole kit and caboodle of them are friends, Mom, Current Husband, Ex-husband, Kids, etc....
So where do I put the ex-husband?

With the four oldest kids, since he's their father? |

Here is my suggestion:

It's how I would do it. Since they are all fine with each other. I put the DIL on the right because that is going to be a new branch of the family. That son is, of course, her husband. Grandkids don't matter, just try to keep them close to the parent they belong to. :)
