I have these two sharpening presets in Photoshop CS3 that I really like; one is called Octave Sharpening and the other is called LAB Sharpening. Is there anyone familiar with these two sharpening methods, and are they legal under the Basic Editing rules?

I guess this is software related otherwise I can move it somewhere else.
