I'M POSTING THIS FOR A FRIEND OF MINE IN BOSTON...HE NEEDS AN ASSISTANT OCTOBER 25-26

From Stephen Faust:
I'm looking for an assistant to help out with a workshop I am holding this weekend. This person will help out my first assistant and second assistant in moving and setting up lighting gear for various sets, assisting as needed holding and moving reflectors, strobes, etc, during the shooting portions.

Unfortunately, I can only provide a striped to help with gas costs. However, there other assistants so the work load shouldn't be too heavy, and you'll also benefit from watching the presentations, discussions on the lighting setups and techniques, etc. You can also attend the Friday evening 'Creative Lighting' lecture, as it won't require any work on your part.

We have a bunch of great models showing up throughout the day, 5 makeup artists, 4 hairstylists, the assistants, and a production manager. We will be using a 2,200sq ft studio warehouse space, a farm house with open fields, outbuildings, ATV, dirt bike, old pickup truck, etc as props. The area outside the studio will be used for two commercial type shoots, both being shot with strobes, available lighting, and night time environment.

We have a slew of commercial lighting equipment, from strobes, hot lights, large Calif Sunbounce reflectors, lighting panels, diffusers, sotboxes, beauty dish, ring flash, etc. You'll get a lot of hands on with the equipment setting up various lighting scenarios, and that knowledge will transfer to your own experience level.

We need people to help out morning, afternoon, and Saturday evening. We also need people for Sunday morning and afternoon to early evening. Saturday is a long day, so I don't expect anyone to stay for the duration. Morning & Afternoon, or Afternoon & evening is fine. And of course you are invited as a guest at the Friday evening lecture/presentations.

If you are interested, please let me know as soon as possible. All I ask is that if you sign up to do this, please dont' cancel at the last minute. I am planning on having extra assistants so that everyone will have an easier time of it, and if some don't show up, others will be burdened with that workload.

You don't need any experience at all to help out. However, if you know the basics of manual exposure, and some basic lighting, even if its just a one light home depot work light setup, you'll get more out of watching me instruct during the lighting setups.
