Actually, my sister put these together. It is the second draft and definitely not the final. I've got 1 major issue with these and that's not limiting the number of poses. So we are discussing that right now. Another issue is price, as I feel we are selling ourselves short (these prices include sitting fee). There are also some minor issues as well, such as what the hell is 'hand-painted'. lol. But we need some more input before we make the final draft.

Thanks for looking. We've built a portfolio with our acquaintances and are now getting phone calls from actual clients. I figured we needed to actually start charging some money. LOL

Also, you can visit our website here

Special thanks and big hugs to mick, he's been a big help and he has A LOT of patience, and he probably thinks I've fallen off the face of the earth, but I haven't. :)

Two things, in my opinion.

First, your lowest package is much too cheap. If you want to up-sell, you need to make the more expensive packages seem the most reasonable. Your first package should be something they don't want to buy, as there are bigger packages that make more sense to purchase.

Second, I think your galleries might be online too long. One year creates absolutely no sense of urgency, and your client will put ordering from you on the back burner. When they do finally get around to making a purchase, the emotion they experience when first seeing the pictures will probably be, at least to an extent, lost.

I didn't read in detail all your packages, but some things to consider...

People buy on emotion. Deadlines work well too. So a 1 year gallery is WAY too long. 30 to 90 days, max.

You MUST control the number of poses you sell - that's where all the work for you is, and what they want (variety). It costs you no time to sell 15 copies of one image, but it does cost you time to sell 1 copy of 15 different images.

Call around and find out what your competition is doing (price and package wise). There is a reason there is a 'session fee' and the 'package' is sold seperately after they've seen the images (99% of the time it works this way). They must have great confidence in you to decide up front they want a $500 package. Returning clients to an established studio have this confidence, but first timers do not.

Things that work....

'minumum investment' (or min purchase) - if they're going to have you spend 2 hours taking pics of 20 family members you best get a few hundred dollars for that, so if you have a min purchase at various levels such as:

1/2 session, up to 4 people, $50 with no min purchase, ala carte pricing.
full sesison with up to 4 people, $500 min purchase (1/2 due at session, balance due at delivery of prints), package pricing on all purchases, 3 poses included.

Then you sell an 8x10 at $25 'pacakge price' and $40 ala carte. You then need a way to add a pose to any package - $15 or a flat fee is one way, or tie it to another product - I do this with my senior packages. I have 4, 5, and 7 pose packages. If mom and kid are stuck on 9 images, then they can buy a funstrip or warhol or folio for $60-100 range and get 3 more poses PLUS the product. Everyone wins!
