So for one of my classes (COS104, aka The Stupid Computer Class), I'm supposed to make a portfolio on this thing called Blackboard. Blackboard is the most ugly, unintuitive, unprofessional-looking web applications out there -- it's usually used to put courses online, and it's incredibly stupid. So I was like "yeah, I'll do this assignment, but I rebel! I insist on making a real portfolio!" I haven't learned how to make Flash websites so I was like "o, how hard can it be?"
Well I opened up flash (the labs here have it! woohoo!) and was like "errr...hunh?"
I've had some programming experience before (python, java, javascript, UML by way of bridgepoint [my computer science teacher wrote this particular program -- it's object oriented programming with classes and such]) so I'm not completely lost in actionscript.
Am I right in thinking that it ought to be set up like a whole load of different little scripts that activate themselves when you click on things? (like Javascript's onClick('function')) How do you make them separate -- are they different scenes or whatever? I might understand, maybe...lol I'm so confused. Am I on the right track? |
