I have a EOS XSi with 18-55mm EFSlens, works great for football photos, but basketball season is coming up, I have longer IS lenses my 55-250mm EFS (only time I used it it was raining hard at times see photo link below)is to long for football from the sidelines, I like the 18-55mm shot at higher res then zoom in and crop for close ups, shooting from mono pod. But need short 50-60mm fast stablized low light lens, any suggestions, would unstablized f1.4 50 mm work for basketball?
