Anyone have a Lenmar battery in their D90 working? My battery works fine in my D80, but shows as empty in my D90. :(

From what I understand all Nikon cameras now include a sort of counterfeit protection for off-brand batteries. The affected models are D300, D3, D700, and I would assume the D90. Nikon has expressed warning of dangerous Nikon branded counterfeit batteries and an effort to stop them. At the same time beginning with the D300 Nikon cameras now have a new battery level sensing mode to gauge the health and true charge of the battery. Off-brand batteries may not include this function and therefore show as empty when they are in fact full.
I believe Nikon released a firmware update for the D300 to address problems in batteries however provided no details as to what those problems where other than an occasional empty battery meter.
In the end, you have a nice camera, lots of complex CMOS based circuits (cmos hates power problems). Is it worth risking a battery over volting your camera and damaging it?
B&H has D300 batteries for only $40 now, genuine Nikon. I'm not sure which battery the D90 takes but maybe they have a good deal also.
In any case good luck and don't fry your pie!
