I did the site, and the pre-loader was based on a template. I just re-did it to fit the theme and design I worked up. There is a bunch of other stuff that I have since added to the site (but still keeping the minimalistic style), but until I get it all working properly I am just going to stick with this basic shell for a while. I might recruit your help after this weekend. I have 4 shoots scheduled and I should have lots of stuff to add to the site. I am going to need to figure out how to make it load in parts. |

6 Secs isn't that bad, but it could become much worse if I add any photos. |

Loaded in 16 seconds for me.
Great shots. The shot of the drum is fantastic- so simple. But, I'd put up more pictures of the pretty girl if I were you. :) (just a suggestion).

Dangit, there should be a bell before you get granted a wish. I should've wished for a bagillion dollars (or maybe I should go for Euros at this point, or maybe just ten tons of gold).
Best of luck with your shoots.

Actually, I am pretty impressed, overall, with Shaw. And I bet Colette's on Shaw, too.
It's probably our "Powerboost" kicking in :)
PowerBoost™ is a great feature from Shaw that allows you a 5 to 20 second burst of downloading speed by temporarily increasing your available bandwidth. Now you can download music, pictures, videos and small software updates even faster with Shaw’s PowerBoost.
PowerBoost also improves the page-loading process, so when you visit a media-intensive Web site the page opens faster, saving you even more time.
Below is a comparison of Shaw Xtreme-I average download speeds* with and without PowerBoost.
File Size.. Shaw Xtreme-I..with PowerBoost
5 MB 4.6 seconds 2.6 seconds
10 MB 13.7 seconds 7 seconds
15 MB 22.8 seconds 12.8 seconds
100 MB 1.4 minutes 1.1 minutes
500 MB 6.8 minutes 6.6 minutes
(I don't know how to format the table, sorry.)

Lol, would you rather I tell you that your site is crappy and takes forever to load and you should just scrap it and forget it? ;) |

But yes, I need to get it loading faster. Hopefully I can make it less crappy soon. |

Like I said some, high tech super mojo connection.
I do have this secret theory (well I guess it won't be that secret now) that Canada is planning to take over the world. Them Canadians are a secretive bunch, sitting up north acting all cold. And now we find out they have some sneaky new internet thingy. Yep, watch out Montana pretty soon you'll be part of Alberta, and don't you start grinning over there North Dakota- pretty soon the Mighty Maple Leaf will be flying over your lands as well. :)
ETA: 28 seconds this time- no doubt because Canada is sucking up my bandwidth.
