I just found a free HDR creation software (Qtpfsgui).

Gimp can do some of there tricks, but only on 8-bit images. Qtpfsgui, however, can load and process 16-bit images too as far as I checked. I will post some images if I am succesful with it.

ETA: If this is a kown software, pelase ignore this thread.
