The Madison Astronomical Society had its annual fall event, Moon over Monona Terrace, where we set up telescopes on the rooftop gardens of a very public downtown venue and show passersby the moon, Jupiter, whatever. I did not take my scope this year, but spent the evening circulating and taking some pictures (see the link). Fun with long-exposure night shots. All shots were with my 30D, ISO 800 or 1600 (mostly the latter) and exposures around 3-4 seconds with a few a bit longer. Enjoy!

That looks like a good time for all of you. It's too bad that there is so much light pollution where there are enough people around to hold something like this event.

That looks like fun. I wish we had stuff like this going on around here.

Must have been fun.
