Hi all,

I just got my wife a Canon SD1100 for her birthday. It's a very small camera, turns on quickly, and shutter lag isn't awful (for a P&S). The back LCD is bright and beautiful, and the images look great on it...

But that little LCD is the only place the images look great. Once I actually downloaded the images, I found that most of them (~70%) had focusing problems. Usually the subject was slightly-to-moderately blurry, and sometimes other areas of the photo were in focus. It's obvious the LCD is amping the saturation as well.

If anyone else owns a similar model - did we get a bad camera or is this typical of P&S's? We don't expect it to perform like the dSLR, but is it too much to ask for most in-focus images?

Thanks for your input!
-Jeff
