Just added to the challenge list. Nice job, I like it.

I like the grouping of the open challenges as well.

Looks cluttered to me. I thought showing the date was just fine. But I do like the grouping but again not really adding anything IMO.

I definitely think the grouping makes it clearer that you can only choose one open challenge.

I'm not sold on the "days remaining". The challenges section appears very busy, and the "days remaining" stands out more than anything else since they are in bold.

Just my opinion. :)

I like the grouping and I love the days remaining. I may be in the minority, and my job may lend to this, but I hardly know the day of the week let alone the date. I vote keep it.

I kinda like it.

I find that dates tend to sneak up on me. I mean ... HELLO?!? Where did September go?!? I can't believe it is October 1st already.

I totally missed entering the State Fair photo competition this year because the deadline snuck up on me. Had there been some kind of "xx Days Remaining" reminder, I think I would have made it.

Really cluttered. Think it would be better if it were only shown for challenges in the submission phase.

What about a count down clock including seconds?

ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!! :)

I like it for the same reason Terry does. I'm a procrastinator and that helps me a lot. Oddly enough my free study image was submitted on the 10th. It's been hell waiting for voting! I'm pretty happy with it. It's not taking of my pb at the score its got but its pretty close.

It does make the text block look dense, though I'm not sure that's the same as cluttered. It's on the smae line as the date, so it doesn't reall add any space.

I hope the type changes to red when there's one day left. ;-)

Make it blink in the last hour too!

Seriously though, if it was added as a preference to have the days remaining be disabled that would be nice. It doesn't add any value for me.

Sorry, where are you seeing these changes?

Never mind, I see it on the front page now.

Time remaining to submit has been added to the challenge description announcements on the main page.

Thanks, General -- I realized my eye usually skips over that middle section of the main page and goes right from the winning images to the recent forum posts. When I want to see what's available for voting or submitting, my habit is to go to the pull-down bar.
