But I don't know which one. I was thinking about the Nikkor 80-400mm 4.5-5.6 VR. Then I saw the Sigma 150-500mm f/5-6.3 AF APO DG OS HSM. It's abut 450 t0 500 dollars cheaper, has a father zoom range which helps me out a lot and it focuses faster. Seems almost too good to be true.

Which one would produce better results?

the nikon will produce better results.

I would never buy Sigma, they have spotty quality control, wide open is pretty much unusable, color is average and resell value is horrible.
