I'd like to add a new dimension to our Street Candid Side Challenge (or any side challenge). If you have an interest in street photography, but don't have the time or resources or whatever to participate in our side challenge, then consider signing up here as a "critic."
As a non-participating critic, you commit to make comments on side challenge entries as often and regularly as possible. Of course, anyone can comment -- you certainly don't need to "sign up" anywhere. But I've noticed that month-long side challenges tend to fizzle out after a few weeks (first the entries, then the comments), and this is an attempt to address that.
Maybe it's a silly idea, but I'm hoping that giving non-participants a stake in this will make our side challenge less exclusive, welcome a wider variety of comments, and as such, help keep the participants motivated all the way to the end. Having some extra names from whom we can expect comments can only add to the excitement. (Comments from some of you are coveted.) Also, here's a way for registered users to get involved.
So... anyone want balcony seats to this one? It's informal; just respond here and we'll look forward to hearing from you. |

I'll poke my head in now and then to comment a couple. I live in the sticks so no real chances for street photography out here (unless you wanna see dead critters). It'll be nice to see some cities for a change. :)

| i can't commit to commenting, but do promise to look in from time to time, and comment as much as I am able. More, if anyob=ne would appreciate a comment on a specific image, I am happy to PMed. |

| Sign me up. I don't have the time to shoot for such an ambitious project, but I sure will enjoy viewing the images. Plus, I have another 500 comments to give until I hit my 2008 goal of reaching 8000 comments given... |
