I made it today at afternoon across the street from my work. Its not fully blossomed yet what makes it really nice. I would like to hear some comments on it.
Thanks.

i think your 2nd shot (the spherical structures) are interesting but would be greatly enhanced by black/and white or possibly a unique angle.

the flower shots are nice, DOF is good, but look a bit under exposed. some brighter light would definatelly help get rid of the dark feel the photos have.

FeedBack, okay--
Honestly they look like test shots for depth of field to me--
Not that intersting..
The F717 has a great macro mode, but theres more to a picture than just blurring out the background.
I would take these as practice shots, now knowing what the camera is capable of doing and try to compose a great shot..
I also am very guilty of the same thing, so dont feel alone--
Just apply the what you you have discovered the camera is capable of and put it to good use..

NOt bad shots, just not that interesting to look at. Anyone can take those shots.
I know it is fun to take pictures of new things but remember not everyone will be a "wow" shot.
Keep shooting, you'll get the perfect shot.

Oskamit:
The second shot of the original bunch is decent, and has a good lesson for all of us. Even with low depth of field, the background still matters greatly, and that is what separates the second from the other two.
The other thing I notice is that these should be REALLY sharp at the focal point. So, either you need to have a tripod (or other rest device) or, you need to deal with my usual problem on these shots: wind. A branch that long is going to have a little motion if there is any wind at all. Not sure that is the problem, just something to think about.
Best, and have fun,
Bill

You absolutely right.
So another picture say do not use digital zoom in any condition.
