Ozzie was about 6 1/2 years old, and a real gentle boy. He was not too crazy about posing for the camera, but did humor me from time to time. Ozzie passed away sometime early this morning. I discovered his passing when I went to feed him and Timothy. Poor Timothy keeps squeaking at me since I removed Ozzie from their crate. I think he is confused and misses his buddy.
In memory of Ozzie, here are a few photos of him.

Linda, I know how much you love your pets and Ozzie was such a darling, and always enjoyed images of him. How old is Timothy and are you considering another one to keep him company. Maybe it is to soon, and I hope I have not upset you by saying that. I hate for timothy to fret and be lonely.
I now have tears running down my face, as I have always loved animals, and know just what they means to you.
Our pets have always been a huge part of our family. I now only have Buddy, our much loved budgie, who is 3 and half years of age.
He can't fly at all now as his wings cross at the back. He use to glide there for awhile, but now just falls like a sac of potatoes when we have him out.
We always leave his door open when the cage is inside, as he loves climbing out on to the top of his cage and try's to get on to the top of my 3 tier cane wicker magazine basket. he can do it as they are next to each other. He feel like he is on top of the world, and sits there for hours some days chirping away.
We also put him on the coffee table with his special toys. He plays with them and deliberately pushes them of off onto the floor, for us to pick them up.
I really feel for you today, and send all warm hugs and all our love to you.
love shez and pete

Shez,
Thank you for the kind words. I am not positive of Timothy's age as I got him from a person who was giving him away. I believe he is about 2 yrs old now. When he first came to me, he hated being in with Ozzie, but after a bit they became cuddle buddies. I think once the initial loss has passed, he will be fine. I'm not sure he would take to another at this time. |

How many pets do you have now Linda. I know you have the beautiful much loved pugs, and also another dog. I know about Timothy and I also remember you have two or three frogs as well.
I love some green frogs and trying to set in my rain forest garden up for them to come and live here. I have three new low circular frog ponds and need to get them set up on the dry rock creek bed.
I am also pricing the cost of a aquarium for long neck turtles, as I love two of them. I saw them at the pet shop the other day. They are only about 2 inches long, from head to tail tip. trying to take Peter into buying them for our Xmas present for each other. I would love to call them Ozzie and Harriet. I hope you do not mind.
I love them for company, as I can't get about like before and also great for taking photos of them.

I am sorry to hear about your loss Linda. I used to have a little one too that loved to run around my kitchen eating crumbs the kids would drop on the floor ... they truly become great little companions who unfortunately don't live long enough. You have wonderful photos of him ... hope Timothy perks up soon. Maggie |
