So today I had the day off from both jobs. A bit of a family day. Locally there was a fire engine rally being held that we normally attend(my son loves firefighters and firetrucks). So I grab a couple of lens and the backup body(5D). We head out the door and I look over the agenda of what is on tap. We pick what we want to see and head off into the fairgrounds. One of the events is a mock vehicle accident with rescue. I put my thinking cap on, what a great chance to put myself on the scene of an accident and see what I can come up with. So the firefighters are practicing and so am I. I think I could have handed these over to the editor had it been a real scene and seen a paycheck from them, moral of the story? I was bored and wanted to shoot? Or I took an opportunity to work on skills that you dont get a second chance to capture or set up? Both. You can never have too much practice, even if your wife/husband thinks its just a family day out. :D

OK so I cheated that last one was just a shot I took of the air evac heli landing.

If interested there are a few others I snapped while playing today. here
