Paul Newman was one of my favorite actors - and a classy guy. His charity work is amazing.

He will be missed.

There was a very nice retrospective on NPR's Morning Edition today. In addition to his careers in film and on the race track, his Newman's Own food company has given over $200 million (all after-tax profits) to charity.

Say a prayer for Joanne Woodward. To see the love of your life die in such a horrible way, just breaks my heart.

My first job, and my first credit in a movie in the business was as a locations P.A. on the feature "Mr. and Mrs. Bridge".

Paul was a great guy on set. Very personable, and approachable. Joanne and Paul both looked out for the crew, and made sure everyone was taken care of.

He will be dearly missed.
