gday everyone.i have just released my first dvd East Coast LEVIATHANS.shot over 4 years and consisting of over eight hundred images;it shows the highlights of the annual humpback whale migration along the east coast of Australia.heres a preview for anyone who is interested.steve

You were using the 100-400 on the boat the day I was on weren't you?

hey lisa.i was using the 100-400 that day.i dont work on the boat now,but i still get to go out and take pics when i want.i miss getting paid to go whale watching every day,but i dont miss cleaning up after the seasick people.ha ha.

How do you find the push/pull of that lens? Is it easy to get used to?

its fine.i didnt have any trouble getting used to it,although it does get heavy after holding it up for hours waiting for a whale to breach.

I can imagine... I am tossing up between that lens or the 300mm f/4. I do love primes :D
