OK so I'm in college, and I live in a dorm with 70 other people, right? So we have one laundry room. Three washers, four dryers. The washers are brand new, we just got them this week, and they use about 50% less water, excellent, eh? Well there's a problem. The doors don't open after the cycle starts.
So I wanted to do laundry. Colors, bright colors with a couple lighter things (grey shirt, white cami), with a pair of canvas flats w/ bright orange linings that hadn't been washed before. before I even started, I had to move some guy's laundry to a dryer. Then I put my laundry in and set my cellphone alarm for 30 minutes, so I'd be down to take it out. Alarm went off, down I went, only to find that all the dryers were taken. Well, one dryer was sitting there done, so I folded the clothes in it...but there was a girl whose wash was done before mine was so she put her clothes in. All this time my washer was just kinda chillin. Another girl's dryer stuff got done so I found her laundry basket and folded her stuff. It took me about 15 minutes. Then I turned around -- someone had pushed the button on my washer. For whites. So now my brightly colored shoes are making everything in my wash turn bright orange, INCLUDING my new favorite shirt. UGH. And I predict that someone will take the dryer I emptied and I'll have to fold ANOTHER person's laundry just so I can get mine done. EXCELLENT.
So, anyone else have anything small and annoying and incredibly frustrating happen to them today??? This incident, while incredibly exasperating, is totally not worth a whole thread, so share your frustration with the world (aka DPC ;p)

After you've folded three other people's laundry I'd say you're done. Next one gets put as a pile in their laundry basket? Where are these people with stuff in the drier anyway? ;o)

Well nobody stole my dryer, thankfully, and my clothes look fine at the moment. Still was a waste of time though...
Anyone else experienced frustration today??

Thats why when I was in the service, I never left the laundry room. To many people are disrespectful and flat out don't give a damn about others. Though you are nicer than me, because after 10 minutes of waiting for someone to return I wouldn't have kindly folded their crap I would have thrown it in a heap on the counter.
But yeah... I am a jerk like that to people who have no respect. Give what you Get.

Yeah - I barely fold my own laundry. Men are less civilized - and proud.

Not to add to your burden, Jessie, but would you mind ironing my shirt this afternoon? Thanks. :) |

I did errands. Can return, bank, grocery store. By the time I got home my left eye was twitching. They all drove like morons, nobody can do their job right (except the kid at the grocery store checkout - he actually knew how to bag groceries correctly...for once), and people kept stepping out in front of me and then stopping. I was starting to have fantasies about picking up the cart and bludgeoning people with it.
There are some days where it seems like everyone out there is out to drive us crazy...
