Reason for Validation? Just Curious...

Hi everyone... still a newb... slowly figuring out all the procedures on the site...

If after the results come in, you are asked to submit your original, is that because someone voting asked for validation?

I was just curious... do all ribbon winners get asked to submit their originals?

I always follow the rules to the 'T' so I'm not worried...

I am just curious... let me know...

I think its the top 5 always get asked for originals.

Also, just because voting is over doesn't mean that someone can't ask for verification.

I hope that the original submission will go smoothly for you. Search "Admin Announcements" about how to upload an original file for verification.

The request comes during voting. If it is something that could be fooling voters but legal a validation note may be added to the entry. Though, most of the time no note is added.

my first ribbon winner was validated, I just submitted the second original this morning, but there shouldn't be a problem... my long exposure entry has a 6.92 reight now... so there may be another ribbon there...

if a voter reports a photo as suspicious, the site council will look at the photo and the reasons given and decide if a validation is required or not.

the top 5 finishers in every challenge need to be validated, so i guess with a 6.9 at the moment you had better get ready again!!
