Have the same system (diffrent brand name) but same remote is chineese made and works well. press and it shoots hold and it keeps shooting. set camera to bulb press and hold for 2 sec then press again to end. easy cheap and well works, Took a shot of myself at Yellowstone Artist point with it just a few weeks ago.

just to add some supporting evidence:

I just got my Phottix 40d wireless controller thing today form eBay.

It works perfectly and i've tried it from the other end of the building, which is probably some 80 feet away from the camera and it still works. BUlb mode is easy to establish- switch to M, set time to 'bulb' hold button for 3 secs and then push again to close the shutter. Easy.

Cost me 15 GBP incl delivery to NZ which is a bargain at twice the price.

Cool thing is, you can also use this with a studio setup as the hotshoe is left available for your pocket wizards, cactus triggers etc etc.

If you're looking for a remote, type in 'phottix wireless' and them the model name and you should find it.

Finally decided to order the remote shutter release from Pro Camera Gear. Ordered it on Tuesday (November 25), had it shipped the cheapest way (USPS Priority Mail), and the package arrived today. Everything was in good condition.

Ordered the following:

Wireless Remote Shutter Release for Canon 10/20/30/40/50D $29.99

Wired Remote Shutter Release $12.99

Safari Vest - 21 pockets $24.95 The medium size is pretty loose on me, and I ususlly wear a large. The sizing measurements on the site were pretty accurate.

Total shipping was $12.99 for all items.

Both shutter releases work great. The wireless one goes through the walls of my basement - have not tried to see the maximum distance yet.

So far I'm pleased with their service and products (the remotes are made in China)...

I ordered the wireless remote from them on Monday and got it on Friday. Haven't had a chance to use it yet but all looks in good working order and I was surprised at how quickly I got it!
